Long Shelf-Life Fruits & Vegetables for Schools is a nutrition and food systems innovation initiative focused on improving school feeding programs through the use of preserved, durable, and nutrient-rich produce. The approach enhances food availability, reduces post-harvest losses, and supports affordable, healthy, and sustainable meals for learners by integrating storage-friendly fruits and vegetables into institutional nutrition systems.
We help low-income Kenya schools rebalance their school meals diet within their budget using long shelf-life vegetables and fruits. We also make it possible for schools to provide ready to eat nutritious balanced meal to their students all year round while improving incomes of local farmers.
